Accessibility

We want every farmer to be able to use this site, on any phone, in their own language.

What we do

• Pages work on small and old phones and on slow connections, and can be printed.
• Text can be enlarged in the browser without breaking the page; colours meet contrast guidelines.
• Everything can be used with a keyboard or a screen reader; images that carry meaning have text descriptions.
• The site is available in 12 Indian languages. Phone helplines are listed on the Help page for anyone who cannot read.

Known gaps

Archived government documents are shown as published; many are scanned PDFs that screen readers cannot read. The figure we took from each one is written out as text on the scheme page.
