Where the money goes — what India spends on farmers
₹3.27 lakh croreset aside by the Government of India this year across 27 lines that reach farmers — fertiliser, cash, loans, insurance, irrigation, animals and fish.
If shared equally among the 9.49 crore families PM-KISAN reached, that is about ₹34,500 a family a year. (Our arithmetic — no family receives this as one payment.)
We added up the lines ourselves from the Expenditure Budget — it is not an official total. Fertiliser lines are gross (before recoveries).
