The release does not print the kit size or how farmers are chosen. Under NFSNM, pulse minikits stop once this Mission starts (NFSNM OG 2025-26, p.32).
“The Mission also seeks to expand the area under pulses by an additional 35 lakh hectares by targeting rice fallow areas and other diversifiable lands, supported by promoting intercropping and crop diversification. For this, 88 lakh seed kit will be distributed free of cost to the farmers.”In participating States, NAFED and NCCF will buy all the tur, urad and masoor you offer at MSP for four years, if you register with them and sign an agreement.

How to apply
- For assured MSP sale of tur, urad or masoor, register with NAFED or NCCF and sign their agreement; it applies in participating States for four years (release, procurement paragraph).
- For free seed kits and certified seed, contact your district or block agriculture office; the Mission works cluster by cluster, with priority to rice-fallow and other land that can switch to pulses (release, seed and area paragraphs).
- For a processing or packaging unit, ask the State agriculture department how proposals are taken; the Cabinet release does not yet print the procedure.
