What it pays
A closer-spacing (90 × 30 cm) cotton demonstration on your field with inputs worth ₹13,500 a hectare, for 0.4 to 2 hectares.
What the document says, word for word
The demonstration plot must be at least 0.4 ha and not more than 2 ha per farmer in a year; a farmer is not repeated, and farmers who had a demonstration under another scheme are not chosen (13.1.2(iv)–(vi), p.15). Seed is given first; the rest of the amount goes on bio-fertiliser, micronutrients, plant-growth regulators and plant protection. Chemical fertiliser is not given — you buy it yourself (13.1.4, p.16). Assistance reaches you through DBT, as cash or as inputs at a point-of-sale (cl. 8, p.9). The printed rate includes ₹500 a hectare for the field day, which the department spends; the figure shown is the inputs part.
