What the document says, word for word

Minimum 0.25 acre (0.10 ha), maximum 5 acres (2 ha) (para 8). Landless and tenant farmers may apply with an agreement. The rate follows the MIDH operational guidelines 2025, but this is a state-funded scheme.

“बीज मसाला फसलों हेतु लागत 50,000.00 रूपये प्रति हेक्टेयर की दर से निर्धारित है, जिसका 40 प्रतिशत अर्थात् 20,000.00 रूपये प्रति हेक्टेयर की दर से अधिकतम 2 हेक्टेयर के लिये इनपुट उपादानों हेतु फसल के भौतिक सत्यापन पश्चात्, एक किस्त में अनुदान दिया जायेगा।”

How to apply

  1. Register on the DBT portal and apply on the Bihar Krishi app (para 9); selection is first come, first served.
  2. Coriander runs in all districts; fenugreek in 36 districts (not Kishanganj, Sheikhpura); fennel, nigella and ajwain only in the districts named in para 4. Farming is done in 25-hectare clusters (para 10).
  3. Certified / truthfully-labelled seed is supplied through the District Horticulture Officer (para 7); the subsidy follows physical verification (para 6, 10).
