For ₹143 a year (the Board pays the rest of the ₹956 premium) you get accident cover of ₹7,00,000 for death or total disablement.

What the document says, word for word

The ₹956 premium and the benefits are fixed by tender every two years and are stated for the period to November 2026. Trainees of the Board’s skill programmes get the first year free; DSP farm labourers are covered fully by the Board.

“For the Scheme Period up to November 2026, the total premium payable, inclusive of GST, shall be Rs.956. Out of this, the beneficiary shall be required to pay only the subsidized premium of Rs.143, and the balance shall be borne by the Board.”

How to apply

  1. Get the application certified by a ward member, panchayat president, agriculture/horticulture officer or coconut producer society head (cl. 8 i).
  2. Send it with Aadhaar and the bank passbook front page to CDB headquarters, and pay ₹143 online or offline — no cash or money order (cl. 6, 8 ii–iv).
  3. Report any accident to the Board within 72 hours; claims are paid by DBT within 15 working days of verification (cl. 9).
