How to apply
- Fill the prescribed form, get it recommended by your gram panchayat and approved by the janpad panchayat, then by the district panchayat’s agriculture standing committee (notes 2–3).
- After approval, buy 6-month to 1-year-old animals from a government pig farm, a cattle market or locally, as the district officer directs (item 2; note 4).
- The sarpanch (or ward member) and local veterinary staff verify the purchase; the subsidy is then paid into your bank account (notes 5–6).
