The component table gives SC/ST ₹50,000 and others ₹37,500 in all; 33.3% of ₹1.50 lakh works out to ₹49,950. The goat shed is not funded — build it yourself or through MGNREGA. How to apply

  1. Apply to the veterinary department in your district; the scheme is open to all categories who are natives of Chhattisgarh (item 4, points 1–2).
  2. Arrange your share — ₹1,12,500 (general) or ₹1,00,000 (SC/ST/OBC) — through a bank loan or your own money (item 4, point 5).
  3. Build a goat shed to the given size (about 290 sq ft) yourself or through MGNREGA or another scheme, and sign an agreement to run the unit for about 3 years (items 1 and 4, point 6).
  4. The subsidy is released after the unit is verified (photos, tagging, insurance); for bank-loan cases it is back-ended (item 4, point 7; item 5, point 3).
