What the document says, word for word
Open to every khatedar farmer, PACS, farmer group/FPC/FPO, farm co-operative, sakhi mandal/SHG and agriculture diploma/graduate entrepreneurs — but only if the farmer, or one authorised member of the body, holds an RPTO drone pilot licence (Annexure-1 (5)). Disabled and women farmers get priority (Annexure-1 (11)). Any permission needed to fly the drone is the buyer’s job (Annexure-1 (16)).

Papers you need
- Drone pilot licence from an RPTO centre (Annexure-1 (5))
- Purchase bill and a photo with the drone, uploaded on i-Khedut (Annexure-3 (3))
How to apply
- Get a drone pilot licence from an RPTO centre, then apply online on i-Khedut (Annexure-3 (1)).
- A taluka-wise electronic draw makes the priority list; selected applicants get prior approval (Annexure-3 (2), (3)).
- Within 60 days buy a DGCA-approved drone with a Type Certificate and UID number shown on i-Khedut, and show the papers to the office (Annexure-3 (4)).
- Upload the bill and a photo with the drone; the help is paid to your bank account (Annexure-1 (9); Annexure-3 (3)).

When to apply
Applications open on i-Khedut on the department’s schedule; 60 days to buy after prior approval. Target: 500 drones in 2026-27.
