Unit cost: 10 does at ₹5,000 and 1 buck at ₹10,000 (₹60,000) plus upkeep ₹60,000 — feed/water equipment, shelter and fencing, fodder, medicine and other costs (p.4). You bear 50% of feed, water, fodder, housing and concentrate cost (condition 17) and must keep the unit 3 years (condition 18). 25% of the benefit is for women; once per family in a lifetime (conditions 2–3).

Papers you need

  • Barcoded ration card and Aadhaar card copy, with the printout of the online application (condition 9)
  • Your photo with the goat unit (condition 13)

How to apply

  1. Apply online on the i-Khedut portal with your Aadhaar and mobile number, then sign the printout and submit it to the office shown within 7 days (conditions 4–7).
  2. After online prior approval, set up the unit within 60 days; goats are bought only through the taluka purchase committee (conditions 10, 14).
  3. The veterinary officer checks the fenced enclosure or goat shed; the help is paid by DBT to your bank account (conditions 11, 15).
