Only for ST farmers/livestock keepers with at least two animals (conditions 2–3). Once in a lifetime. The labour component can instead be claimed under MGNREGA through the district rural development office (condition 13).

Papers you need

  • Proof of own land, or a lease agreement for 10 years or more (condition 4)
  • Talati-cum-mantri certificate for the owned land (condition 5)
  • Ration card (condition 6)
  • Bills for material and all labour, or for equipment bought (condition 8)
  • The prescribed undertaking and your bank account details (conditions 10, 11)

How to apply

  1. Apply online on the i-Khedut portal (cattle-shed condition 1; Annexure-2 remarks).
  2. Start building within 30 days of approval and finish within 90 days, or the application lapses (condition 7).
  3. Give the material and labour bills to the veterinary officer; the help is paid by DBT to your Aadhaar-linked bank account (conditions 8, 11, 12).
