Applicants must be 18–55, residents of Haryana, unemployed, and must not have taken a sheep/goat unit under any earlier department scheme. Breeds: Beetal, Jamunapari, Sirohi or other indigenous goats; Gaddi, Nali, Marwari, Munjal or other indigenous sheep. 571 units in 2026-27.
“Incase of Scheduled Caste (BPL/Widow); SC Category and landless General, BC, Other Category, HLDB/Government will provide financial assistance to the tune of 75 % of the unit cost (Rs. 52500/- per unit) on the establishment of livestock unit after the purchase of livestock to the seller within 15 days … The financial assistance of balance 25% of unit cost (Rs. 17500/- per unit) in case of SC(BPL/Widow), SC and landless General, BC and Other Category Beneficiaries would be provided by the HLDB/Government in form of subsidy to beneficiary after two months of establishment of unit”How much can I claim?

How to apply
- Apply online on the SARAL portal (saralharyana.gov.in) with your Family ID (PPP), yourself or through a CSC / Antyodaya / Atal Sewa Kendra.
- Arrange 25% of the unit cost (₹17,500) as margin money and keep proof of it.
- Buy the whole 10+1 unit in one go before the purchase committee; one unit per household.
- The Board pays 75% to the seller within 15 days; your 25% is refunded after the unit is verified two months later.
