Meghalaya State Aquaculture Mission 3.0 — fish farming subsidy under CM-ELEVATE
Funded in the budget: Meghalaya Budget Speech 2026-27 (23 Feb 2026, Para 3.2.4: “Fish farmers will also be provided with subsidies under the CM-ELEVATE scheme from 2026-27. I am allocating an amount of ₹130 Crore for the sector in 2026-27.”)
Fish farmers get at least a 50% subsidy on a fish-farming unit such as a fish pond under the Aquaculture Mission 3.0, run through CM-ELEVATE; the rest is the farmer’s share or a bank loan.

50% of the cost of a fish-farming unit as subsidy under CM-ELEVATE.
What the document says, word for word
The 2026-27 speech (para 3.6.2) introduces a CM-ELEVATE scheme for fish ponds “with subsidies ranging from 50% to 75%” without saying who gets which rate, so we show the 50% printed for the Mission and never the higher figure. ₹30 crore was allocated to the Mission in 2025-26 (para 6.3).
“The Meghalaya State Aquaculture Mission 3.0 will be launched soon. The Mission will target production of 19,000 MT of fish and will benefit 50,000 fish farmers. Part of the Mission will be implemented under the banner of CM ELEVATE, with the same 50% subsidy structure as other livestock initiatives.”How much can I claim?
