What it pays
50% of the plantation cost on a ₹1,20,000 per hectare norm (₹1,30,000 in NE states), up to 10 hectares — ₹60,000 a hectare outside the North East.
What the document says, word for word
Boundary planting is counted at ₹300 a plant instead. ST forest-rights (FRA patta) holders get 90% (Annexure I, note 3). The second-year money depends on survival. NBM is run by your State Bamboo Mission and funded with the state (60:40; 90:10 in NE and hilly states, §8), so it pays only where the state includes it in its plan.
“Plantation (Using planting material from the accredited/approved nurseries) — Rs.1.20 lakh per ha (min 400 plants/ha) or Rs. 300/- per plant (for boundary plantation with nominal spacing of 5m). For the NER States cost norm shall be Rs.1.30 lakh per ha. — 100% of cost to Govt. sector. For private sector 50% of the cost upto 10 Ha over 2 years (60:40). No subsidy will be provided for private plantation above 10 ha per person.”50% of ₹30,000 per hectare (₹15,000) to improve an existing bamboo stand, on up to 2 hectares, once in 5 years.
What the document says, word for word
Only for existing plantations that got no NBM help in the past 5 years. The NE cost norm is 10% higher (Annexure I, note 1); we show the general norm.
