Back-ended subsidy on layer (1,000–5,000 birds), broiler (500–3,000 birds), duck (1,000), chick-rearing and mini feed-mill units: 60% for SC/ST/women/transgender/PwD and women’s SHGs, 50% for general men, on the unit cost with a shed or on the running cost without one.

Papers you need

  • Aadhaar (all beneficiaries must be Aadhaar-linked)
  • DM’s transgender certificate or a 40%+ disability certificate, where it applies
  • Online payment receipts for every item of ₹20,000 or more

How to apply

  1. Apply online on GO-SUGAM (sugam.odisha.gov.in) to the Block Veterinary Officer; the AVAS/VAS/BVO can help (Selection of individual farmers 4).
  2. The Block Level Inspection Team checks and photographs the site; the District Level Committee under the Collector approves the list and the CDVO issues a go-ahead letter.
  3. Build the shed and disposal pits (start within 2 months), then stock birds; without a shed, stock within 1 month of the go-ahead.
  4. After each inspection the subsidy is paid by DBT — in two instalments with a shed, in one without.
