Unit cost (p.5): shed ₹36,000, 10 females at ₹5,000 + 1 male at ₹6,000 = ₹56,000, insurance ₹8,000, misc ₹2,000. With an existing shed and no new one, the shed share is cut: ₹39,600 (60%) or ₹33,000 (50%). Not for anyone who got a similar subsidy before.

“The SC, ST, Women, Transgender, differently-abled categories beneficiary will be provided with 60% subsidy of Rs. 61,200/- per Goatery / Sheepery unit & General (Male) beneficiary will be provided with 50% subsidy of Rs. 51,000/- per Goatery / / Sheepery unit.”

  • Aadhaar (linked to your bank account) and land records for the shed site
  • DM’s transgender certificate or 40%+ disability certificate, where it applies

How to apply

  1. Apply on the GO-SUGAM portal; the Programme Assistant at the block can help upload it (Selection Procedure 1).
  2. The Block Level Inspection Team checks the site; the District Level Committee approves and the CDVO issues a go-ahead letter (Selection Procedure 2–5).
  3. Start building the 180 sq ft shed within 60 days, then buy 10 female and 1 male animals and insure them for a year (Selection Procedure 6–12).
  4. The subsidy comes by DBT: 40% after the shed, 60% after the animals arrive; pay for items of ₹20,000 or more online (Modalities 2, 4).
