Crop insurance with the farmer’s premium paid by the Government of Puducherry
Funded, but no order confirms it is still open: Puducherry Budget Speech 2025-26 (Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, 12.03.2025) (12 Mar 2025, Para 9 — the Government will bear the farmers’ premium for coconut under RWBCIS from 2025-26, “as it is provided for other crops”)
In Puducherry the farmer pays nothing for crop insurance: the UT government pays the farmer’s share of the PMFBY premium for all crops, and from 2025-26 also for coconut under the weather-based scheme.
