A subsidy for digging a farm pond to store rainwater: 70% (kachcha) or 90% (plastic-lined) of the unit cost for small, marginal, SC and ST farmers, and 60% or 80% for others, up to a fixed ceiling.

Papers you need
- Jamabandi copy and the revenue map of the khasra where the pond will be dug (cl. 2.1)
- Small/marginal certificate, if Jan Aadhaar cannot record that category (cl. 2.2)
- Notional-share certificate from the Patwari, if the land is not yet in your own name (cl. 1.3)
How to apply
- Apply on the Raj Kisan Sathi portal with your Jan Aadhaar number, yourself or at an e-Mitra; offline forms are not accepted (cl. 3.1, 3.6).
- If the scrutiny finds something missing you get an SMS; fix it on the portal within 15 days or the application is cancelled (cl. 3.4).
- Dig the pond only after administrative approval, at the low point of the field and at least 50 feet from a road or settlement (cl. 5.1, 5.2).
- After the pond, the sprinkler or drip set and the safety ropes are checked, the subsidy is paid to your account (cl. 1.4, 5.10).
Applying is free. Never pay anyone to apply for you.

Combining with other schemes
The documents do not say whether this can be combined with other schemes. Ask the implementing office before you count on both.
