“Table: 9 Indicative Cost of Large Volume Sprinklers(Rain–gun)”Farmers who install drip together as a cluster through their FPO, cooperative, SHG or water users’ group all get 55% of the indicative cost, whatever their land size.
A cluster is 50 ha or more in mainland states and 20 ha in NE and hilly states, on contiguous land; the assistance comes through the organisation (cl. 7.27.1). The same 55% applies to sprinkler systems in the cluster. The cost counted is the lower of your quotation and the indicative cost in the guidelines for your system, spacing and area, including GST (cl. 20.1). Up to 5 hectares per beneficiary (cl. 7.9), and not again on the same land for seven years (cl. 7.10). The total financial assistance available to the individual beneficiary in the group would be 55% under the scheme.”The FPO, cooperative, SHG or water users’ group running a micro-irrigation cluster may get administrative charges of 3% of the cluster’s cost.
“May be allowed” — the state decides. States are to implement at least 5% of their micro-irrigation target through FPOs (cl. 7.27.2).
“Such farmers groups/organizations may be allowed to avail an administrative/institutional charges @ 3% of the cost of the Cluster.”A fertiliser tank, sand or hydro-cyclone filter, or drip-line winder with your micro irrigation system: 55% (small & marginal) or 45% of its indicative price.
Given “on the then existing rate of subsidy” — the micro-irrigation rate of cl. 20.1 — on the lower of your quotation and the indicative price in Annexure XII. You can take a fertiliser tank or a venturi or an automated dosing system, not more than one (13.1(i)). Any other optional item is at your own cost (13.4).
“13.1 … The provision is kept to provide the said component on the then existing rate of subsidy to the beneficiary; if required & provided. These components are: i. Fertilizer tank … ii. Sand filters/media filters … iii. Hydro Cyclone Filters/Sand Separators … iv. Drip Line Winder”A water-harvesting pond or diggi in plain areas: 50% of the cost counted at ₹125 a cubic metre, up to ₹75,000 including lining.
For a pond or tank without lining the cost counted is 30% less (Annexure XIII, item 1) — the figure here is for a lined one. Only “if and only if a farmer opted to install micro-irrigation System in his/her field” (Annexure XIII), linked to that system and based on the farmer’s actual need (cl. 13.2). States may spend only about 20% of their PDMC funds on these interventions (40% in North East and Himalayan states, J&K and Ladakh) (cl. 7.8), so ask whether your state offers it this year.
“1 Water harvesting system ,Diggi for individuals/community — 50% of cost (Construction cost - Rs. 125 for plain/ Rs. 150 per cum for hilly areas) limited to Rs. 75000 for plain areas and Rs. 90000 for hilly areas including lining. For smaller size of the ponds/ dug wells, cost admissible on pro rata basis. Cost for non-lined ponds/tanks will be 30% less.”A water-harvesting pond or diggi in hilly areas: 50% of the cost counted at ₹150 a cubic metre, up to ₹90,000 including lining.
The guideline does not list which areas are hilly; your state decides.

Item 5 does not print an area limit; we count at most 5 hectares, the PDMC limit per beneficiary for the micro-irrigation system it serves (cl. 7.9).
“5 Pipe/pre-cast distribution system — 50% of the cost of system limited to Rs. 10,000 / - per ha”An electric or diesel water-lifting pump: 50% of the installed cost, up to ₹15,000.

“7 Petrol Irrigation Pumps- up to 15 hp — Rs. 10000/unit or 50% of the cost of the system (including installation) whichever is less.”For a new off-grid solar pump (or replacing a diesel pump), the centre pays 30% of the benchmark cost — 50% in the North East, J&K, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Lakshadweep and A&N Islands.
States add at least 30% on top where they give a state share, so the farmer pays 40% (20% in the special areas). Off-grid areas only; no new pumps in dark or black zones (5.2.5). Support stops at the 7.5 HP level (15 HP for up to 10% of installations in the NE, hill states and islands). Ladakh is named as a hill region for 15 HP pumps (5.1(v)) but not in the 50% list of 5.3.1.1(ii), so we show 30% there. Applying on the central portal without a state share is limited to 30% (5.3.1.2(iii)). These are the rules of the 2024 guidelines, for pumps tendered by 31.12.2025; PM KUSUM 2.0 may set different rates.
“CFA of 30% of the benchmark cost or tender cost, whichever is lower, of a particular category/type of the stand-alone solar Agriculture pump will be provided. The State Government will give a subsidy of at-least 30%; and the remaining 40% will be provided by the farmer.”To put solar panels on your existing grid-connected pump, the centre pays up to 30% of the solar cost — up to 50% in the North East and hill states — and you can sell surplus power to the DISCOM.
Solar capacity up to twice the pump capacity in kW is supported, for pumps up to 7.5 HP (6.3.5(i)). No central help for replacing the pump itself (6.3.5(iv)). Without a state subsidy, banks may lend up to 70% of the cost (6.3.5(v)). The guidelines say “up to” 30% / 50%, so the actual share can be lower. Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep may also get 50% (“Islands”), but para 6 does not name them, so we show 30% there. These are the rules of the 2024 guidelines, for projects sanctioned by 31.12.2025; PM KUSUM 2.0 may set different rates.
“CFA up to 30% (upto 50% of NER/Hilly/Islands) of the cost of solarisation will be provided for solar PV component including solar modules, module mounting structure, controller/inverter, balance of system, installation & commissioning, five Year CMC, insurance, etc., on basis of benchmark cost or cost discovered through tender whichever is less.”Set up a 500 kW–2 MW solar plant on your land — yourself, with a group, FPO or cooperative, or through a developer who pays you lease rent — and the DISCOM buys all its power at a fixed tariff for 25 years.
The plant should preferably be within 5 km of a sub-station; the DISCOM notifies how much capacity each sub-station can take and invites applications, and if more is offered it holds a tender with its tariff as the ceiling (para 4.3). You pay a processing fee of at most ₹5,000 per MW, a ₹1 lakh/MW bank guarantee if there is bidding, and build the line to the sub-station (paras 4.4, 4.7, 4.8). The ₹0.40/unit incentive goes to the DISCOM, not to you (para 4.9). Like the rest of PM-KUSUM, this is closed to new projects pending PM KUSUM 2.0.
“Component-A: Setting up of 10,000 MW of Decentralized Ground/ Stilt Mounted Grid Connected Solar or other Renewable Energy based Power Plants by the farmers on their land … Solar or other Renewable Energy based Power Plants (REPP) of capacity of 500 kW to 2 MW will be setup by Renewable Power Generator (RPG). … The renewable power generated will be purchased by DISCOMs at the pre-fixed levelized tariff. … The duration of PPA will be 25 years from Commercial Operation Date (COD) of the project.”Where your state runs Component B with a state share, it adds a subsidy of at least 30% of the standalone solar pump’s cost on top of the central 30%–50%.
“At least 30%” — the state may give more. A state that is “not in a position to give its share” can leave farmers to install with the central share alone (para 5.2.2), so check your state’s order. With both shares the farmer pays at most 40% (at most 20% in the North East, Sikkim, J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Lakshadweep and A&N Islands) (para 5.3.1.1). These are the rules of the 2024 guidelines, for pumps tendered by 31.12.2025.
“CFA of 30% of the benchmark cost or tender cost, whichever is lower, of a particular category/type of the stand-alone solar Agriculture pump will be provided. The State Government will give a subsidy of at-least 30%; and the remaining 40% will be provided by the farmer.”Under feeder-level solarisation, farmers near a sub-station can lease their land for the solar plant at a lease rent announced by the state government.
The guideline only reports that some states currently offer ₹25,000 to ₹50,000 an acre a year or 6% of the ready-reckoner rate, whichever is higher, rising 3% a year, for 30 years — your state sets its own rate. Contiguous land of at least 5 acres near the sub-station is preferred (about 4–5 acres per MW). Offer land on the state’s portal or through the Tehsildar/District Magistrate (para 6.4.2(iii)–(iv)). The central assistance for feeder-level plants goes to the state agency, not to farmers.
“Land for setting up the solar plant: If there is no Government land near the substation to set up solar plant, theland may be taken on lease from the farmers. Land lease rates would be announced by the state government. … The State Government will publicise these rates along with the list of substations and request farmers to offer their land on lease in the vicinity of the substations at the offered lease rent.”75% of Rs 80 per cubic metre (Rs 100 in NE & Himalayan areas) for a lined community water tank owned by a farmer group, up to 30,000 cubic metres.
Lining must be at least 500-micron plastic film or RCC/HDPE; unlined ponds (black cotton soils only) cost 30% less. MGNREGA beneficiaries get only the cost of the lining; others get the whole cost. Water harvesting for individual farmers follows PDMC norms instead.
“B.4. Creation of Water resources a) Water Harvesting Structures for Community– Construction of on farm community tank, pond /reservoirs with use of plastic/RCC lining Rs. 24.00 lakh per unit @ Rs 80 per cubic metre in general areas and Rs 30 lakh/ per unit @ Rs 100 per cubic metre for NE & Himalayan States, and Scheduled areas, Andaman & Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands for a maximum capacity of 30,000 cub mts. Assistance @ 75% to irrigate 10 ha of command area, for a storage capacity of 30,000 cubic meter and for smaller capacity on pro-rata basis … owned & managed by a community/ farmer group.”40% (75–90% for SC/ST) of the Board’s unit cost for a water tank, open/ring well, sprinkler or drip, set by your holding size.
Holdings of 0.4–25 ha (SC/ST from 0.10 ha). One water structure plus irrigation equipment; not for a structure you got help for in the last ten years. SC/ST growers with up to 2 ha get 90%; we show the 75% printed for holdings above 2 ha so we never overstate. Holdings above 25 ha and companies get 25%. Rates are from the 2024-25 to 2025-26 modalities; ICDP has been continued to 2026-27 but the 2026-27 grower circular was not published when we checked. The Board may lower the rate when budget is short (1.1.1.3 note 1).
“1.1.2.2. Scale of subsidy: I. General a) Up to 25 ha. 40% II. ST / SC Growers a) Up to 2 Ha. 90% b) >2 75%”Soil and water conservation (NRM) works on your own land in a watershed project are paid by the project except your 10% share — 5% if you are SC/ST or a small or marginal farmer — which you can give as cash or labour.
Your contribution goes into the village Watershed Development Fund, which later repairs common assets. Only villages in a sanctioned project are covered.
“The contribution to WDF may be 10% of cost of NRM works when executed on private lands. However, in case of SC/ST, small and marginal farmers, the contribution may be 5% of cost of NRM works. These contributions may be acceptable either in cash (preferably transferred electronically) at the time of execution of works or in the form of voluntary labour.”50% of the cost of digging an unlined farm pond, up to ₹52,500.
The standard pond is 22 m × 20 m × 3 m; you may dig a bigger one, but the subsidy stays at most ₹52,500 (cl. 5, 6). Only for farmers who installed drip/sprinkler through the horticulture or agriculture department in the last 7 years and still run it, or who sign a three-party agreement to install it with the pond (cl. 3). Of the target, 15% is for SC/ST and 50% for small and marginal farmers, with priority to women (cl. 3).
“जल संचयन अन्तर्गत खेत-तालाब का निर्माण जिसके नान लाइन तालाब पर 50 प्रतिशत अधिकतम (लाइन युक्त तालाब के अनुदान रू0 75000 से 30 प्रतिशत कम) रू0 52500 का अनुदान निर्धारित है।”50% of the price of an electric or diesel pumpset, up to ₹15,000, for a farmer who has dug the pond and installed micro-irrigation.
Only for farmers who had micro-irrigation installed through the horticulture department by the date of registration and whose pond is complete; the pumpset must be 5 HP or more and ISI-marked, bought by the farmer, with the bill submitted (cl. 10).
“वाटर लिफ्टिंग डिवाइस अन्तर्गत पम्पसेट (electric/डीजल) जिस पर मूल्य का 50 प्रतिशत अधिकतम रू0 15000.00 प्रति इकाई अनुदान निर्धारित है।”60% of the tender price of a standalone solar pump (1 to 7.5 HP); you pay the remaining 40%.
Enter the tender price of the pump you book — the 60% is on that price. The central share is 30% of the benchmark or tender price, whichever is lower, for pumps of 1 to 7.5 HP; a 10 HP pump gets the central share of a 7.5 HP pump (cl. 1), so the 60% may not hold above 7.5 HP. This already includes the central PM-KUSUM share — do not add the two.
90% of the unit cost of drip, mini or micro sprinkler for small and marginal farmers; 80% for other farmers.
This rate already includes the central Per Drop More Crop share — it is not added on top of it.
“योजनान्तर्गत प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा इस विधा को अधिक लोकप्रिय करने एवं पानी की बचत किये जाने हेतु ड्रिप, मिनी एवं माइक्रो में लघु सीमान्त कृषकों को इकाई लागत का 90 प्रतिशत एवं एवं अन्य कृषकों 80 प्रतिशत अनुदान दिया जाता है।”75% of the unit cost of a portable, semi-permanent or rain-gun sprinkler for small and marginal farmers; 65% for other farmers.
This rate already includes the central Per Drop More Crop share — it is not added on top of it.
“पोर्टेबल, सेमीपरमानेंट एवं रेनगन स्प्रिंकलर हेतु लघु सीमान्त कृषकों को 75 एवं अन्य कृषकों को 65 प्रतिशत अनुदान की व्यवस्था निर्धारित।”Small and marginal farmers get 100% of a drip or sprinkler system paid; other farmers get 75%.
The money comes from three parts — the Government of India share, the State mandatory share and a “State Additional Share” that brings the total to 100% / 75% and also pays the 5% GST on material (Tables 1–3). This is the total subsidy, not extra on top of the central Per Drop More Crop subsidy. The Agriculture Budget 2026-27 (para 25) repeats the same pattern.
“as per the existing subsidy pattern of 100% for SF/MF and 75% for other farmers towards the installation of the Micro Irrigation System”80% subsidy on a solar pump set under the Union–State solar pump scheme, for SC/ST small and marginal farmers.
Only for SC/ST farmers who are also small or marginal.
“80 per cent subsidy for the installation of solar-powered pump sets under Union-State shared schemes.”A borewell or tube well with an electric or solar pump, fully paid by the state, for SC/ST farmers whose rainfed land has no irrigation (300 farmers in 2026-27).
“To create irrigation facilities in rainfed lands belonging to 300 Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe farmers who do not have access to irrigation, bore wells or tube wells with electric motor pumps or solar-powered pump sets will be established with 100 per cent subsidy.”60% of the cost of a borewell or tube well, up to ₹1,20,000 per well, for small, marginal and women farmers.
The speech describes the scheme as for general category farmers; Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe farmers are covered by the Annal Ambedkar scheme (para 13).
“60 percent back ended subsidy assistance up to a maximum of Rs.1.20 lakh per well for small, marginal, and women farmers”50% of the cost of a borewell or tube well, up to ₹1,00,000 per well, for other farmers.
If you are a small, marginal or woman farmer, the 60% / ₹1,20,000 rate applies to you instead — not both.
“50 percent back ended subsidy assistance up to a maximum of Rs.1 lakh per well for other categories of farmers”Small and marginal farmers (up to 2 ha) pay 10% of the drip or sprinkler cost — 90% is covered by PMKSY plus the state top-up.
The 90% is the combined total: PMKSY-PDMC’s own 55% for small and marginal farmers plus the state’s top-up of the balance down to the farmer’s 10% share. Farmers above 2 ha are not covered by this top-up. Announced in the 2026-27 Budget Speech of 22 June 2026. We could not find the implementing order or guidelines on the state’s portals yet, so eligibility details and the application process may change — check with your block agriculture office.
“For small and marginal farmers in West Bengal, owning cultivable lands up to 2 Ha, it is proposed that eligible farmers are able to avail the benefits under PMKSY PDMC contributing only 10% of the projected cost and balance cost will be borne by State Government as top up, in addition to financial support in PMKSY PDMC.”An extra 25% of the approved cost of drip or sprinkler for farmers who get 55% under Per Drop More Crop — 80% in all.
Under PDMC the 55% rate is for small and marginal farmers, so we show the top-up to them. Funded from a NABARD Micro Irrigation Fund loan: ₹66.8628 crore for the top-up over three years (Council of Ministers decision No. 94/10/2026 of 04.08.2026).
“The Top-Up Subsidy shall be confined to 25% assistance for admissible Drip and Sprinkler Irrigation Systems and shall be admissible to beneficiaries entitled to 55% subsidy under PDMC, subject to an overall subsidy ceiling of 80% of the approved/admissible cost.”Paddy nursery and jute: up to ₹1,500 per acre (₹750 per irrigation, at most 2 irrigations), up to 8 acres.
The rate is ₹75 a litre of diesel, which works out to ₹750 per acre per irrigation (cl. 1.1); the figure shown is the maximum for all allowed irrigations. Up to 8 acres per farmer (cl. 1.4), at least ₹100 is paid (cl. 1.5), one member per family (cl. 1.8), and only on diesel bought from a registered petrol pump in Bihar with a digital/computerised voucher (cl. 1.9, 3.4). The exact amount is fixed after verification (cl. 3.11).
“खरीफ फसलों की सिंचाई डीजल पम्पसेट से करने के लिए क्रय किये गये डीजल पर 75 रूपये प्रति लीटर की दर से 750 रूपये प्रति एकड़, प्रति सिंचाई डीजल अनुदान दिया जायेगा। धान का बिचड़ा एवं जूट फसल की अधिकतम 2 सिंचाई के लिए अधिकतम 1500 रूपये प्रति एकड़ देय होगा।”Standing paddy, maize, pulses, oilseeds, seasonal vegetables, medicinal and aromatic plants: up to ₹2,250 per acre (at most 3 irrigations), up to 8 acres.

Your share is about 10% of the pump cost as margin money (rules point 5); a part equal to 60% of the cost is met by a farmer loan whose repayment is wholly the state’s responsibility (rules point 6). Condition: the khasra must not have an electric pump now, and no electricity subsidy will be given on it if an electric pump is fitted later (scheme page). Pumps with a universal solar pump controller (USPC) get only the subsidy of the same-size pump without USPC, so their farmer share is higher (rules point 3).

Farmers who are not small or marginal get the 30% top-up on up to 5 ha. The state rates are maximums: you get the lower of the cost under the central norms and the ceiling (cl. 4(क)). Started in 2019 in drought-prone talukas, suicide-affected and Naxal-affected districts; extended to the remaining 107 talukas by GR of 18.11.2021, so it now covers the whole state.

Paid as per the National Horticulture Mission guidelines (cl. 4(iii)). The 2026-27 sanction (GR of 17.09.2026) funds micro-irrigation and individual farm ponds; ask your taluka agriculture office whether lining is open this year.
“वैयक्तिक शेततळ्यांचे प्लॅस्टीक अस्तरीकरण — प्रत्यक्ष खर्चाच्या ५०% किंवा रु.७५,००० यापैकी जे कमी असेल ते”You pay 10% of the solar pump’s cost (5% if you are SC/ST); the rest — 90% or 95% — is paid by the scheme.
The scheme aims at 5 lakh off-grid solar pumps over five years, financed 60% by an AIIB loan and 30% by a state grant for this component, with the farmer’s share as above (cl. 2, 5).
“शेतकऱ्यांचा लाभार्थी हिस्सा (सर्वसाधारण लाभार्थी१०% व अनु. जाती/जमाती लाभार्थी ५%)”A fixed subsidy for digging a farm pond with inlet and outlet, by size: from ₹23,881 (15 × 15 × 3 m) to ₹75,000 (30 × 25 × 3 m and larger); a little less for the gentler 1:1.5 slope in black soil.
Only for farmers with up to 5 ha in the 7,201 project villages of 21 districts (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Beed, Jalna, Parbhani, Dharashiv, Latur, Nanded, Nagpur, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Hingoli, Amravati, Akola, Washim, Yavatmal, Buldhana, Wardha, Jalgaon, Nashik). You need at least 0.40 ha in your own name and must not have had a farm pond from Magel Tyala Shettale, a group pond or any other government scheme. A larger pond than approved gets only the approved amount; a smaller one gets the amount for the next smaller size. The subsidy is paid in one instalment. These are the same per-size rates as the state's Mukhyamantri Shashwat Krishi Sinchan individual farm pond guidelines 2022-23 (07.11.2022), which the guideline cites.
“वैयक्तिक शेततळे आकारमान व खोदकामाचे परीमाण निहाय अर्थसहाय्य — अ. इनलेट आऊटलेट सह शेततळे (रक्कम रुपये): देय अनुदान १५ X १५ X ३ — २३८८१ … ३४ X ३४ X ३ — ७५०००; विविध आकारमानाच्या शेततळ्यासाठी कमाल रक्कम रुपये ७५०००/- … रकमेच्या मर्यादेत अनुदान देय राहील.”A fixed subsidy for a farm pond without inlet and outlet, by size: from ₹14,433 (15 × 15 × 3 m, black soil) to ₹75,000.

Same conditions as the pond with inlet and outlet; for a pond without them there must be extra runoff to refill it. Only one pond size can be chosen.
“ब. इनलेट आऊटलेट विरहित शेततळे — देय अनुदान १५ X १५ X ३ — १८६२१ … ३४ X ३४ X ३ — ७५०००; बाजू उतार (१:१.५) (काळ्या मातीमध्ये) १५ X १५ X ३ — १४४३३”50% of the cost of plastic-film lining of an existing farm pond (without inlet/outlet), up to ₹75,000.
The pond must already exist and be at least 15 × 15 × 3 m (441 m³), and you must not have had lining help before. Cost is counted at ₹77 per m² for 500-micron film plus ₹18 per m² for laying; for example a 20 × 20 × 3 m pond: ₹82,436 cost → ₹41,218. Fencing around the pond is at your own cost.
“१. इनलेट आउटलेट विरहित शेततळ्यांच्या प्लास्टिक फिल्म अस्तरीकरणासाठी प्रत्यक्ष मोजमापानुसार लागणाऱ्या खर्चाच्या ५०% किंवा ₹७५,००० पैकी जे कमी असेल ते अर्थसहाय्य देय आहे.”SC and ST farmers: 90% of the lining cost, up to ₹75,000.

The same area can get micro-irrigation help again only after 7 years; a farmer who took a portable sprinkler can get drip on the same land after 3 years at the differential rate. You need your own irrigation source. Do not install before prior approval — such claims are rejected.
“अल्प व अत्यल्प भूधारक शेतकरी (२.०० हे. पर्यंत) — ८० %; २.०१ ते ५.०० हे. जमीनधारणा असणारे शेतकरी — ७५ %; अनुसूचित जाती व जमाती प्रवर्गातील शेतकरी — ९० %”SC and ST farmers: 90% of the price of an electric pump or diesel engine up to 10 HP, up to ₹40,000.
