What it pays
50% of the cost of the pipeline, limited to ₹50 a metre for HDPE, ₹35 for PVC and ₹20 for HDPE lay-flat pipe, and at most ₹15,000.
What the document says, word for word
You need your own land and a well, tube well or other source with an electric, diesel, tractor or solar pump; sharers of a common well can each get the subsidy for their own pipeline (cl. 1.1, 1.2). Only pipes of 63 mm diameter or more qualify (cl. 3.3), and a farmer helped under this scheme before is not eligible again (cl. 1.6).
Small and marginal farmers get an extra 10% of the unit cost, up to ₹3,000, on top of the 50%.
What the document says, word for word
This is in addition to the 50% for all farmers, so a small or marginal farmer can get up to ₹18,000 in all. You count as small or marginal only if Jan Aadhaar records it (or you attach a certificate) and your share in the Jamabandi is within the limit (cl. 2.3).
How much can I claim?
Your rate 50% of the eligible cost
The subsidy is also limited per metre by the type of pipe (₹50 HDPE, ₹35 PVC, ₹20 lay-flat), so it depends on the length and pipe you buy. We show the rate only; the ceiling is ₹15,000.
