What it pays
50% of the cost of fencing up to 400 running metres around your field, at most ₹40,000, if you have at least 0.5 hectare in one place.
What the document says, word for word
Farmers applying as a group of two or more get the same 50% / ₹40,000 per farmer (cl. 2.3). Holders of a Forest Rights Act patta with 0.5 hectare get 90%, up to ₹72,000, paid from centrally sponsored schemes (cl. 2.6). If your field’s perimeter is longer than 400 metres, you pay for the rest yourself and must declare that the rest of the field is protected by a wall or your own fencing before the subsidy is released (cl. 1.5, 2.1). No electric current may run through the fence (cl. 1.14). The bill must be a GST bill for the barbed wire, chain-link or square mesh (cl. 3.7).
Small and marginal farmers get 60% of the cost of fencing up to 400 running metres, at most ₹48,000.
What the document says, word for word
The extra 10% (up to ₹8,000) over the general rate is paid from the state plan (cl. 2.2, 2.4). You count as small or marginal only if your Jan Aadhaar is seeded in that category (or you attach a certificate) and your share of land in the Jamabandi is within the limit (cl. 3.5, 3.6). 3.7).
In community fencing — a group of at least 7 farmers with at least 5 hectares inside one boundary — each farmer on the boundary gets 70% of the cost of up to 400 running metres, at most ₹56,000.
What the document says, word for word
Only for a community application: at least 7 farmers and at least 5 hectares within the set boundary (cl. 1.4, 1.15). Farmers whose land lies inside the boundary can be counted in the group, but subsidy is worked out only for those on the perimeter (cl. 1.6). Community fencing is paid from the state plan only (cl. 2.5). 3.7).
How much can I claim?
This clause does not fund this applicant type (cl. 2.1 (also 2.3 for groups of two or more farmers)).
