- Check that your land is in a “safe” firka and has no assured source of irrigation (para 48).
- Apply to the Agricultural Engineering Department; only 500 farmers are covered in 2026-27.
- Sink the well at your own cost first — the subsidy is back-ended, paid after the work (para 48).
- Ask to combine it with the solar pump and micro irrigation schemes, which this scheme is dovetailed with (para 48).
