What the document says, word for word

Eligible: lease-holders of fish ponds of 0.4 ha or more, owners of private ponds, and people of the fishing community engaged in fishing with boating, who do not already have a boat and have not got a boat under any other scheme (para 2(5)3–5). The 12 fishing communities named in the Revenue Code 2016 get priority, first Antyodaya card holders, then those without a pucca house (para 2(5)7). The scheme runs for five years, 2022-23 to 2026-27 (para 3).

“1. " निषादराज बोट सब्सिडी योजना ’’ के अन्तर्गत रु0 0.67 लाख की अधिकतम सीमा तक की वुडेन फिशिंग बोट अथवा फाइबर रिइनफोर्स्ड प्लास्टिक बोट (एफ.आर.पी.बोट), जाल, लाइफ जैकेट एवं आइसबाक्स आदि पर 40 प्रतिशत अनुदान की सुविधा प्रदान की जायेगी।”

The unit cost was ₹67,000 in 2022-23 (boat ₹50,000; net, life jacket and ice box ₹17,000) and rises 5% a year from 2023-24, 20% in all by 2026-27 (para 2(3)3). The GO prints no rupee figure for this year, so we show the rate only; anything above the unit cost is paid by you.

How to apply

  1. Apply online on the fisheries department portal, or at the district fisheries office, which uploads offline forms (para 2(5)2).
  2. A district committee chaired by the Chief Development Officer selects beneficiaries by randomised priority lists (para 2(4), 2(5)9).
  3. If selected, buy the boat, net, life jacket and ice box yourself (your 60% from your own money or a bank loan) and give the bills at the district office (para 2(5)10–11).
  4. After the district officer verifies the bills and photographs, the 40% is paid in one go to your bank account by DBT (para 2(6)).
