What the document says, word for word

Enter the tender price of the pump you book — the 60% is on that price. The central share is 30% of the benchmark or tender price, whichever is lower, for pumps of 1 to 7.5 HP; a 10 HP pump gets the central share of a 7.5 HP pump (cl. 1), so the 60% may not hold above 7.5 HP. This already includes the central PM-KUSUM share — do not add the two.

“बेन्चमार्क मूल्य टेण्डर मूल्य से कम होने के फलस्वरूप सोलर पम्पों के कुल मूल्य (टेण्डर मूल्य) पर कृषकों को 60 प्रतिशत अनुदान अनुमन्य कराने हेतु अतिरिक्त धनराशि को राज्य सरकार के अंश से टाप-अप के रूप में उपलब्ध कराया जायेगा। अवशेष 40 प्रतिशत कृषक अंश के रूप में लाभार्थी कृषक के द्वारा वहन किया जायेगा।”

    How to apply

    1. Register on the UP agriculture department portal (cl. 8).
    2. Book a solar pump token online and deposit ₹5,000 token money (cl. 8).
    3. Beneficiaries are chosen by e-lottery by a district committee chaired by the District Magistrate (cl. 8).
    4. After selection, deposit your 40% share; the supplier installs the pump and maintains it for five years (cl. 2, 9).

    When to apply

    Not confirmed for 2026-27. The central PM-KUSUM allowed no new projects after 31.12.2025 (MNRE OM, 28 Mar 2026) and PM-KUSUM 2.0 is awaited; this GO covers 2025-26 targets only. Wait for PM-KUSUM 2.0 or a UP order for 2026-27 before booking.
