Per hectare of ginger or turmeric (unit cost ₹1,00,000): 50% for large general farmers, 65% for small/marginal general farmers, 75% for ST and SC farmers, up to 2 hectares.
What the document says, word for word
The ₹1,00,000 a hectare is counted as planting material ₹60,000, inputs ₹20,000 and labour/other ₹20,000; the lower of this pro-rata unit cost and your actual cost is used (Annexure-2; Annexure-1, 13). HRT-2 needs at least 0.20 ha; HRT-3 (ST and forest-rights holders, tribal districts) and HRT-4 (SC) at least 0.10 ha; maximum 2 ha per account (Annexure-1, 14).

Papers you need
- Printout of your online i-Khedut application; keep it with you (Annexure-3 (1), p.9).
- Bills and other proof of your purchase or work, shown to the horticulture officer for checking (Annexure-3 (4), p.9).
- Only for the tribal-area version (HRT-3) if you qualify as a forest-rights holder: your forest-rights title (van adhikar patra) (Annexure-1, 2, p.5).
- Only if you apply in the 5% quota for persons with disabilities: a valid disability certificate (condition 23, p.3).
How to apply
- Apply online on the i-Khedut portal (Annexure-1, 6; Annexure-3).
- The taluka officer checks you have not had help for the same purpose from another scheme that year (Annexure-1, 4).
- Buy good-quality planting material (seed rhizomes) of your choice from an NHB-accredited nursery, agricultural university/KVK, the horticulture department or an “A”-grade FPO/co-operative (Annexure-2 remarks).
- After checking, the help is paid by DBT to your bank account (Annexure-1, 12).
