What the document says, word for word

Only milch (adult female) animals of the cow and buffalo class qualify (condition 2), in every district (condition 1). The Board follows the Government of India’s National Livestock Mission risk-management and insurance guidelines (condition 9); the scheme exists so animals are not left uninsured when central funds are delayed (preamble). The amount here is the state’s share of the premium, not the sum insured.

“પશુ વીમા પ્રિમિયમની કુલ કિંમત પૈકી ૮૫% રકમ અમલીકરણ એજન્સી દ્વારા નિયત થયેલ વીમા કંપનીને ચુકવવાની રહેશે અને પશુ વીમા પ્રિમિયમના બાકીના ૧૫% રકમ પશુપાલકે વીમા કંપનીને ચુકવવાની રહેશે.”

    How to apply

    1. Apply online when the Animal Husbandry Department opens applications (Annexure-1, condition 3).
    2. If there are more applications than the budget allows, beneficiaries are chosen by an online draw (condition 4).
    3. The Gujarat Livestock Development Board pays 85% of the premium to the selected insurance company; you pay the other 15% to the company (conditions 6, 8).
