You must apply for a van worth at least ₹8 lakh and be a member of a fisher cooperative; registration and insurance are yours to pay (paras 3, 8.1).

“मछलियों तथा मछलियों के बीज परिवहन हेतु मत्स्यजीवी सहयोग समितियों अथवा उनके सदस्यों को अनुदान पर चार पहिया भारवाहक वैन के लिए विभागीय अनुदान 60 प्रतिशत अथवा अधिकतम् मो0 4.80 लाख रू0 (दोनों में से जो कम हो) दिया जायेगा।”

Papers you need

  • Written report of the block fisheries officer that you sell fish (or trade in fish)
  • Purchase bill for the kit; disability certificate from the civil surgeon if you claim priority

How to apply

  1. Apply to the District Fisheries Officer; a district committee selects beneficiaries and the Deputy Commissioner approves the list (paras 7, 8.5).
  2. For a kit, the block fisheries officer certifies in writing that you sell fish; buy the kit and submit the bill for the subsidy by DBT (paras 8.3, 10(ख)).
  3. For a van, deposit your share in the escrow account within one month of selection; subsidy and share are paid together to the supplier (para 10(क)).
