The state pays the full cost of digging pits, planting grafts, plant protection, gap filling and drip for new orchards, over three years, for farmers who cannot get orchard help under MGNREGA.

What it pays
100% of the cost of pits, grafts, planting, plant protection, gap filling and drip for a new orchard, within the crop-wise cost norms, paid over three years.
What the document says, word for word
Up to 10 ha in Konkan and 6 ha in the rest of Maharashtra, more than one fruit allowed (cl. 7.1); minimum land 10 gunthas in Konkan and 20 gunthas elsewhere (cl. 8.7). Fruits: mango, pomegranate, cashew, guava, custard apple, aonla, tamarind, jamun, kokum, jackfruit, lime, sapota, orange, sweet lime, fig and coconut seedlings (cl. 5). Farmers eligible under MGNREGA (job-card small and marginal, SC/ST) are first given MGNREGA help for up to 2 ha (cl. 7.3, 8.3). Drip is paid first from PMKSY Per Drop More Crop and state drip schemes, and only the balance from this scheme (cl. 9.4). Second- and third-year money needs 80% and 90% of the plants alive (cl. 11.2). If your actual cost is lower than the norm, you get the actual cost (cl. 11.4).

The rupee limit depends on the fruit crop and its planting distance (Annexure A), and the norms follow MGNREGA rates that are updated every year (cl. 10.1, 10.4). We have not encoded the current table, so we show the rate only.

Papers you need
- 7/12 extract in your own name; if you are a joint holder, the consent of all holders (cl. 8.4)
- If a tenant’s name is on the 7/12, the tenant’s consent (cl. 8.5)
How to apply
- Apply online when the department advertises, usually in April; planting runs May to November (cl. 3).
- The agriculture assistant prepares an estimate for your orchard and records the work in a measurement book (cl. 9.5).
- You prepare the land, fill pits with soil and manure and do inter-cultivation at your own cost (cl. 9.1–9.2).
- The subsidy reaches your Aadhaar-linked bank account in three yearly parts of 50%, 30% and 20% (cl. 11.1, 11.3).

Applications are invited each year by advertisement in the first week of April; planting May–November (cl. 3).

The documents do not say whether this can be combined with other schemes. Ask the implementing office before you count on both.
