In canal areas with a warabandi turn, a subsidy for building a pucca or plastic-lined diggi of at least 4 lakh litres to store canal water: 75% of the unit cost (85% for small and marginal farmers), up to ₹3 lakh (₹3.4 lakh).

Only in canal command areas where a warabandi turn is sanctioned (cl. 1.1), with at least 0.5 hectare of irrigated land (cl. 1.3), and a minimum diggi of 4 lakh litres (cl. 5.1). One diggi per family (Jan Aadhaar); a farmer helped before cannot apply again (cl. 1.4).

You count as small or marginal only if Jan Aadhaar records it (or you attach a certificate) and your share of land in the Jamabandi is within the limit (cl. 2.3). Same area, land and size conditions as for all farmers (cl. 1.1, 1.3, 5.1).

Papers you need
- Latest Jamabandi copy, not older than six months, or an attested ownership passbook, and the revenue map of the khasra where the diggi will be built (cl. 2.1)
- Jan Aadhaar card number (cl. 2.2)
- Small/marginal certificate, if Jan Aadhaar cannot record that category (cl. 2.3)
- Verified copy of the bill for the sprinkler/drip set (cl. 1.5)
How to apply
- Apply on the Raj Kisan Sathi portal with your Jan Aadhaar number, yourself or at an e-Mitra; offline forms are not accepted (cl. 3.1, 3.6).
- If the scrutiny finds something missing you get an SMS; fix it on the portal within 15 days or the application is cancelled (cl. 3.4).
- Build only after administrative approval, and install a sprinkler, drip or micro-sprinkler set with the diggi (cl. 1.5).
- After inspection the subsidy is paid; for a plastic-lined diggi it is paid in one instalment when the work is complete (cl. 4).
Applying is free. Never pay anyone to apply for you.

The documents do not say whether this can be combined with other schemes. Ask the implementing office before you count on both.
