The standard pond is 22 m × 20 m × 3 m; you may dig a bigger one, but the subsidy stays at most ₹52,500 (cl. 5, 6). Only for farmers who installed drip/sprinkler through the horticulture or agriculture department in the last 7 years and still run it, or who sign a three-party agreement to install it with the pond (cl. 3). Of the target, 15% is for SC/ST and 50% for small and marginal farmers, with priority to women (cl. 3).

How to apply
- Book online with a token on the agriculture department portal when registration opens (second half of April); token money is ₹1,000 (cl. 3, 11.2, 11.5).
- Within 15 days of the confirmed booking, deposit the token money and upload the khatauni, affidavit and a photo of the field, or the booking is cancelled (cl. 11.3).
- Farmers are picked by e-lottery/auto-confirm against the target; the soil conservation officer checks the site, then you dig the pond within 30 days (cl. 7, 11.7).
- The subsidy comes by DBT in two instalments: 75% after the earth work, 25% after the inlet/outlet is built and geo-tagged (cl. 4).

When to apply
Portal registration starts in the second half of April and selection is done from time to time by e-lottery (cl. 3).
Combining with other schemes
The documents do not say whether this can be combined with other schemes. Ask the implementing office before you count on both.
