How to apply

  1. Report the death, missing person or boat loss to the Office of the Superintendent of Fisheries, Daman (or Diu) and apply there.
  2. For a boat, a committee assesses and values the loss; the help is the actual cost or the ceiling, whichever is less (Annexure-II, para 2.2).
