On top of the central PM-RKVY-PDMC share, Karnataka pays an extra 35% so that every horticulture farmer gets 90% subsidy on drip or sprinkler for the first 2 hectares; from 2 to 5 hectares the normal 45% applies.

How to apply
- Apply to the taluk horticulture office (Raitha Samparka Kendra) with land in your own name; the department also takes applications through its HASIRU portal (section VI, item 1).
- You must have a water source and power for the system, and grow horticulture crops on that land after installation (section VI, items 3–4).
- A field that got micro-irrigation subsidy can get it again only after 7 years; first-time applicants get priority (section VI, item 5).
