- 7/12 extract or a registered 5-year lease (not needed for 1 milch animal or a 5 + 1 goat unit); for forest-rights holders the “other rights” entry or Schedule “J” certificate
- Training certificate (or undertaking), or a 2-year experience certificate from the local veterinary officer or milk society
- For fodder machines: certificate of the number of animals you own; UDID card for disabled applicants; SHG membership certificate
How to apply
- Apply online when the Commissioner of Animal Husbandry invites applications at the start of the financial year.
- After selection, buy the animals within one month with the purchase committee — milch animals from recognised breeder farms in the state, Gokul Mission farms or other states (corrigendum item 1); goats/sheep first from the Ahilyadevi corporation.
- Insure the animals for 3 years and register them on Bharat Pashudhan; the subsidy is paid by DBT after the taluka officer’s purchase report.
Applying is free. Never pay anyone to apply for you.
When to apply
Applications are invited online once a year by the Commissioner of Animal Husbandry; eligible applicants not funded stay on the waiting list.
Combining with other schemes
